The TS-873AU supports block-based iSCSI LUN and is compatible for VMware®, Citrix®, Microsoft® Hyper-V®, and Windows Server® 2019 virtualization environments to provide a high-performance and affordable storage solution. The TS-873AU comes with two 2.5GbE RJ45 LAN ports that allow you to use existing CAT5e cables to upgrade network speeds from 1 Gigabit to 2.5 Gigabit. 5GbE speeds can also be attained by using Port Trunking. To upgrade your laptops and desktops to take advantage of high-speed networks, QNAP offer various adapters and peripherals, including a USB 3.2 Gen 1 to 5GbE adapter (Model name QNA-UC5G1T) and 5GbE PCIe expansion card (Model name QXG-5G1T-111C).

Graphics cards are optimized for graphical calculations and transformations, but require significantly more power than other hardware. The TS-873AU supports entry-level low-profile NVIDIA® GeForce® graphics cards (such as the GT 1030 or GT 1050) that do not require additional power. Installing a graphics card can boost performance of applications such as video editing, 4K video transcoding, imaging processing in QTS and the performance of virtual machines via GPU passthrough.
1. Supported video formats depend on the hardware and software specifications of the devices. Playback capability and quality may vary due to factors including the original file formats/quality, hardware and software limitations, and output devices.
2. GPU support for QTS only applies to NVIDIA graphics cards. GPU Passthrough for virtual machines is supported by AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards.
3. When Virtualization Station uses graphics cards, the TS-873AU will temporarily stop hardware transcoding acceleration for QTS (and vice versa).
4. Always consult the Compatibility List before purchasing or attempting to install a graphics card into the TS-873AU.

The selected drives are batch controlled and tested using our HDD and SSD servers. Passed drives are then installed in the NAS with Volume and RAID set. Our pre-burn testing prepares the NAS with an initial system and drive testing cycle to ensure that the integrity of the entire system is tested and passed with no issues at all.
Our stress testing (burn-test) cycle commences for a minimum of 24 hours and extends to 48 hours if requested or required. This is undertaken in order to ensure stability when used in a normal environment. These tests can include extremes of workload (constant I/O's), CPU and memory use, thermal load (heat), clock speed, or voltages, bus and connectivity components, with the primary stress testing software aiming to test stability by trying to force a system to fail. Our tests put a greater emphasis on robustness, availability and error handling heavy loads.
